Eungjin Lee

Eungjin Lee is a South Korean composer, born in 1997. He studied composition at Gachon University in Korea under Dong-Soo Kim and Young-Kwang Yang. After graduating in 2023, he has continued his studies since 2024 at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studies composition with Frédéric Durieux, as well as electroacoustic composition with Yan Maresz and Luis Naón.

His works have been presented at the Daegu International Contemporary Music Festival and he participated in the TIMF Academy, where he attended a masterclass with composer Unsuk Chin. He also took part in the ›Barcelona Modern International Composition Course‹, working under the guidance of Hèctor Parra and Daniel D’Adamo. His works have been performed by Ensemble Eins, TIMF Ensemble, Ensemble Blank, and Fabrik Quartet.

Eungjin Lee’s work is often inspired by images, movements, and scenes, as well as narrative and poetry, exploring the new possibilities that emerge when these elements are translated into sound. In particular, he is interested in the relationship between visual and narrative elements and musical form, and in how music can serve as a tool to transform them into unique auditory experiences.
