The central idea of the Theres Sing Cycle is a »contemporary Winterreise«: a homage to Schubert, but also a repositioning within our current time. To this end, composers of different generations have created new works. The texts set to music interweave historical voices with current reflections, connecting the Romantic era with our own time. This format, oscillating between public urban space and the concert hall, represents movement, collective journeys, the alternating »intermedium« between individual and group. In addition to the concert at the Casals Forum, the festival day takes the audience not only into the concert hall, but also out into the wintry city. Short concerts are held at various locations, intertwining like chapters in a story (Wandelkonzert 14:15).
