What happens when cells divide, or when many bodies move in a swarm? And what do these two phenomena have in common? The individual contributes to a greater whole. This is the premise of the participatory project ›Teile mich – Zellen als Kraftwerke‹ (Divide me – cells as powerhouses). Students from Frankfurt‘s schools and scientists team up to examine the behaviour of human cells, developing animated and short films with artists. These will be set to music during the con- cert by the students and Ensemble Modern musicians. Biological processes are thus creatively turned into experiences.
Knowledge becomes visible, imagination turns into research. The result is an unusual total work of art: art film meets live music!
