The IEMA Ensemble 2023/24 of the International Ensemble Modern Academy and NEKO3 from Denmark, a young ensemble supported by the ULYSSES Network, give a joint concert. ›Transitions‹ and connections can be experienced here at different levels. Thus, NEKO3 presents a new work by Alexander Schubert, jointly developed in a lengthy process. Different genres are consciously interwoven in one network: the Danish ensemble appears as a »rock band«, playing hybrid instruments, singing with vocoder, and combining different musical styles such as Noise, Electronic, Beat, Emo, Drone, Trap and experimental music. During the first half of the concert, the IEMA Ensemble presents the work ›Übergang II‹ by Yann Robin as well as a world premiere by Sunghyun Lee. Another world premiere by Po-Chien Liu finallybrings the musicians of both ensembles together.
