Albert-Schweitzer-Schule Offenbach

Ensemble Modern, Enno Poppe (conductor), Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie, YRD.Works (room installation), Shiva Feshareki, Brigitta Muntendorf a.m. (Talks)

At the gymnasium of the Albert-Schweitzer-Schule in Offenbach, the artists’ collective YRD.Works creates a temporary, walk-in installation as the site of activities for a cross-genre crash course on the festival theme HUMAN__MACHINE. The focus is on five world premieres by selected young composers which have been developed and rehearsed with Ensemble Modern and the conductor and composer Enno Poppe during the 9th International Composition Seminar. In films, panel discussions and performances, guests such as the composers Shiva Feshareki and Brigitta Muntendorf examine the relationship between humans and machines. Sound interventions by the IEMA Ensemble and actions by YRD.Works explore the unusual concert venue.
